1. Determine the size of the opening. For a fireplace screen decide if it is to set inside the opening or frame the outside.
2. Decide on the frame size and type - tube, flat bar decorative or plain.
3. Outline the frame to give dimensions which need to be filled in. Fill in the frame until the desired design is created.
