What's New:     Our Showroom remodeling is reaching a conclusion. The "Blue Bins" are now arranged in four pallet racking rows along the front wall. This arrangement allows for easier visibility as well as storage for our overstock of popular items. Also, we have added a second bar rack to separate the 10′ bar stock.

Fabricator Highlight:     Combining wrought iron from Metal Amore´ and wood is becoming more popular for interior as well as exterior home improvements. Along with the wood and wrought iron combinations; scroll railings has become a popular choice. Metal Amore´ stocks a large variety of scrolls for the home owner to choose from. These large etched scrolls used by Staircrafter.com are made to code with no opening larger than 4" for ease of use in any stairway or railing.

How can rust be prevented?    It is difficult to completely stop rust and it should be noted that unless the ferous product has a well maintained coating on it, rust will eventually occur. Choosing the right primer is essential for rust prevention; hot dip galvanizing, cold zinc galvanizing and zinc oxide primers on well prepared iron and steel all perform very well. All primers perform even better when they receive an equally good top coating of paint. There are many types of enamels and urethanes that work well over properly primed steel. Powder coating is a popular finish and a good powder coating system will also include a primer coating.
